Weaver_ChadChief Weaver began his career at the Edmond Fire Department in September of 1998. He was promoted through the ranks making Relief Driver in 2003, Driver in 2005, Lieutenant in 2010, Captain in 2015, and Deputy Chief of Operations in 2019.

Chief Weaver was part of the first Paramedic academy in 2003. He has been a part of the Edmond Fire Department Special operations team and is a Swiftwater technician. He has responded to Swiftwater incidents in the City of Edmond and outside the city. He currently oversees all Special Operations Teams, Suppression, EMS, and Training.

Chief Weaver has an Associate degree of applied science in Municipal Fire Protection from OSUOKC, and multiple certifications through OSU fire service training, Alabama Fire College, FEMA, and TEEXs.   

Chief Weaver’s wife Ashley is a kindergarten teacher and has a master’s degree as a reading specialist. Chief Weaver has three daughters and one son. They are active in several activities including, swim, pom, cheerleading, basketball, and cross-country. He is a second-generation firefighter; his father served the Norman Fire dept from 1971- 1998.

Chief Weaver is very proud to be a member of the Edmond Fire Department and is very blessed to serve the citizens of Edmond as the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations.
