2. As per the City of Edmond Municipal Code, Section 1 (8.16.100) “Tree Removal, Cutting Trees, or Foliage”:
   a) No person shall remove or damage trees upon any un-platted area, as well as any Nonresidential, Special Purpose, or PUD district prior to obtaining a Tree Removal Permit.
   
   c) A tree removal permit shall not be required for existing single family residential property, or any parcel less than five acres in size. Additionally, a tree removal permit is not required for trees within 20 feet of any structure, or for the removal of trees with a trunk diameter less than 3 inches.
