Do I need a permit to change out my hot water tank?: Yes, a permit is required. The homeowner should verify that the plumbing contractor is licensed with the City of Edmond and has pulled a permit prior to commencing any work. The ONLY EXCEPTION to this is EMERGENCY REPAIRS. When repairs are performed in an emergency, the permit must be pulled the next business day.
