[ARCHIVED] KickingBird Golf Club Head Pro Earns PGA Recognition

Brian Soerensen, KickingBird Head Golf Professional, was recently awarded the South Central Section PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award by The PGA of America. Brian’s service to the game of golf and the PGA Association makes this his second recognition, with his first being in 2006.

“I am very honored to be recognized for Golf Professional of the Year. It means so much because it is voted on by my fellow golf professionals of the South Central Section. I feel very fortunate to work for the City of Edmond and appreciate their support and I would like to thank my staff because without their hard work this award would not be possible,” said Brian Soerensen, KickingBird Head Golf Professional.

The Golf Professional of the Year Award is determined annually to honor the working PGA Professional whose total contributions to the game best exemplify the complete PGA Professional. While the honor is based on the candidate’s entire record, special emphasis is placed on performance and achievement over the past five years in the areas of overall performance as a golf professional at his facility, service to the PGA Section and the Association, leadership ability, image and ability to inspire fellow PGA professionals and golf promotion.

“We are pleased to have Brian named, once again, for this award. It represents the outstanding professionalism, dedication and passion Brian possesses not only for the golf course but for the community as well,” said Steve Commons, Assistant City Manager of Operations. “It also has special meaning for Brian because the recognition comes from his peers in the golf profession,” said Commons.
