Sections of Danforth Road between Bryant Avenue and Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning Jan. 23 while work to remove and replace the curb and gutters in both the eastbound and westbound right lanes is completed.
Work will be performed in sections, and Danforth will be reduced to one lane in each direction while those sections are under construction.
Once the curb and gutter replacement is complete, repaving is scheduled to begin on that same stretch of Danforth on Jan. 30, reducing traffic to one lane in each direction. Repaving will begin with the left lanes, including the turn lanes, and once completed work will begin on the right lanes in each direction.
This is part of the nearly $1.9 million FY20-21 Street Overlay Project and is expected to take 4 weeks, with cooperative weather.
Motorists are asked to be aware of the project and adjust their routes and travel time accordingly.
