Doorside Collection

Edmond's Solid Waste Services offers a convenient and safe way to dispose of your household hazardous waste (HHW) and e-waste (electronic waste such as televisions, computers, etc.). E-Waste is also collected through this program with Republic Services. This will ensure that e-waste will be recycled or disposed of properly.

Each household is entitled to unlimited scheduled HHW collections from curbside per calendar year. The cost of this service is included in the regular monthly residential solid waste fees.

How the Program Works

  • Call 405-745-4141 or sign up online to request a collection. When you call the collection hotline, you will be asked several questions, including your address and the type and amount of materials available for collection.
  • Schedule a collection date and a collection kit will be shipped. The collection hotline operator will fully explain the program, schedule a convenient collection date, and discuss where the kit should be safely placed outside for collection.
  • Prepare for the collection. The kit includes a program instruction sheet (with a hotline telephone number to call for questions) and other items to help pack and secure the household hazardous waste. All materials, such as gasoline, poisons, pesticides, and aerosols, must be placed into the kit. If you have more waste than will fit in the kit, please call the hotline to discuss your options.
  • Your HHW material will be collected. On the scheduled date, the customer service technician will collect eligible materials directly from your home. They will sort and pack the materials for proper disposal.

Tips for the HHW pick-up program:

  • It is important to always handle all household hazardous waste materials with care.
  • Call the collection hotline with any questions at 405-745-4141
