Flush Meters

Flush meters are available for use by anyone who has completed a contract for service and paid the required deposit.

Flush meters are designed for mobile use in measuring water from a fire hydrant. They are for temporary usage during construction projects. Meters can be checked out for as little as a week and for as long as 3 months. If one is needed for longer than three months, a regularly scheduled inspection of the meter will be required.

A contract for service and a deposit of $1,200.00 is required at least one business day prior to collection of the meter. There is not a same-day option. Once a representative in Utility Customer Service has processed your application and payment, you will be provided with instructions on where to pick up your meter.

A wrench can be provided with the flush meter if needed. Additional fees may apply if the wrench is not returned with the meter.

Monthly meter reads must be submitted by the 10th of each month.  Failure to comply with this requirement will result in a non-refundable penalty of $50.00 per missed reading.  After 3 months of missed reads the deposit will be forfeited and  the meter will be confiscated for non-compliance.
