Edmond businesses can now become more sustainable and get recognized for it through the Edmond Green Business Certification Program.
Sustainable initiatives in businesses are mutually beneficial. Businesses become more efficient and potentially realize reduced overhead costs. Their initiatives promote the conservation of valuable resources which help the environment and overall community.
This program is free to participate in and includes the service of a guided consultation for a self-audit, a free onsite official city audit, resources for sustainability, certification decals for your business, and recognition on the city website.
Five categories will be assessed:
- Energy Use
- Water Use
- Waste Minimization
- Ecological Purchasing
- Pollution Prevention
The first step to getting started is to complete a self-audit with one of the checklists below! Once completed, Submit your self-audit using this online form. You will also be required to complete a Property Owner Authorization Form as part of your registration.
