Participants

Thank you for your interest in Edmond Electric’s Touch-a-Truck event, which will take place on June 3, 2023 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) parking lot #6.

Touch-a-Truck is a fundraising event for the HOPE Center of Edmond that provides kids of all ages with the opportunity to experience life-size vehicles and interact with community support leaders like linemen, police officers, firefighters, construction workers, and many more. Families will have the opportunity for a hands-on exploration of many vehicles such as Edmond’s own fire trucks and police cars, an Edmond Electric bucket truck, helicopters, and many others.

At our last event in 2022, we raised $6500 from donations which gave The HOPE Center the resources to provide food, clothing, and utility assistance to families here in Edmond.

This event is free for companies/organizations who are willing to bring out their unique vehicles for display. Due to the interactive style of this event, entries will NOT be accepted that only have a booth-type setup.

Event Guidelines

For safety purposes, vehicles with more than four wheels are REQUIRED to have wheel stops. In order to participate in Touch-a-Truck, vehicles with more than four wheels will not be able to participate without them. Vehicles participating will be checked at the entry gate for proper safety equipment. This event brings many families with small children therefore, SAFETY FIRST!

Continuing in 2023, there will be a quiet hour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. to accommodate those sensitive to loud noises. During this time, no horns or loud music will be allowed.

A minimum of 2 people must be with the vehicle at all times if
children are allowed inside the cab. If this is allowed, the vehicle needs to be off and the keys out of the ignition with supervision at all times.

Once your vehicle is in the parking lot, it will not move until the event is done and it is deemed safe to leave. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed to leave if an emergency comes up.

If your organization has promotional items, candy, and/or games please feel free to bring them to hand out.

Lunch will not be provided to those participating, but there will be water and snacks available, as well as restrooms.

Please encourage your organization’s representative to please take down the event coordinator's phone number in case of an emergency.

Thank you in advance for your interest in this exciting event.
