Description

The Edmond Historical Trust was founded to preserve the qualities relating to the history of the City of Edmond by preserving historic sites, buildings, and objects of local significance for public use, inspiration, and benefit of the people of the City of Edmond. The Trust protects the City of Edmond and its inhabitants against the irreplaceable loss of cultural and historic values and makes necessary investigations and research relating to particular sites, buildings, or objects to obtain accurate historical and archaeological facts and information.

The Trust also serves to protect, preserve, maintain, operate, or manage any historic or archaeological building, site, object, or property used or acquired for public use. They also restore, reconstruct, rehabilitate, preserve, and maintain historic or prehistoric sites, buildings, objects, and properties of local historical or archaeological significance, as well as develop educational programming and services for the purpose of making facts and information about these sites and properties available to the public.
