The HUD Citizens Participation Committee reviews items to be funded with the City of Edmond Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) dollars. The Committee makes recommendations to the City Council concerning the CDBG programs. They hold a public Service meeting in June to identify the size and scope of CDBG activities for the coming year. In July they hold a public hearing to review the Action Plan for the coming fiscal year. In November they hold a public hearing to review the CAPER for the past fiscal year.
The CDBG programs provides owner-occupied housing rehabilitation for low to moderate income households; assist many Public Services; has a contract with MFHC for Fair Housing services; public works projects in low to moderate-income neighborhoods and other projects.
